When he joined Our Sansar:

He was 4 years old

What he loves:

To play games with the other boys

Wishes for the future:

To be a policeman

His story:

Aabesh's mum suffered from an emotional breakdown after she lost one of her children. She never knew who Aabesh’s dad was. She and Aabesh were living on the streets in Birgunj, surviving by begging. The local community told us that she beat Aabesh very badly at times. The police and children’s authorities assisted with placing Aabesh at our children’s home when he was 4 years old. We tried helping his mum but she disappeared from Birgunj without a trace.

His life at Our Sansar:

Aabesh is the youngest boy at our home at the moment. Everyone calls him ‘Babu’ which in and endearing term for a baby boy. Aabesh was very malnourished when he joined us and he suffered from mild epilepsy. He is now healthy – his cheeks filled up nicely - and very happy. He is starting to learn how to play football.
