Are you an experienced teacher? Perhaps a builder or painter/decorator looking for a challenge? Or just a motivated, committed individual looking to give something back and help others? We need you!

There are many ways to help, from supporting the local teachers or giving lessons on IT or English, to working to develop the Children’s Home facilities and grounds, decorating, or to help in the soon to be opened Our Sansar cafe (watch this space!).

All school days-off and holidays are your holidays, and there are a lot in Nepal, so you will have time to travel and experience the Nepalese way of living!

We are very flexible and if you feel you have the experience and the commitment to help with the work Our Sansar does, contact us at volunteers@oursansar.org or call +44 (0)300 075 0150.

Training

A volunteer helps Nepalese children tie their shoelaces. We provide support and training before departure and throughout the duration of the placement. We also provide an induction about the country of placement, assistance with visas, information about required vaccinations, and all other necessary information.

Fees

Volunteers are expected to fundraise and to pay for their own flights, food, Visas, vaccinations and any leisure activities you wish to undertake during your travel. In the majority of cases you will need to pay for your own accommodation. Our Sansar has some accommodation available but this is limited and would need to be considered on a case by case basis.

We can help with arranging visas, flights, accommodation and will provide information on required vaccinations. Volunteers are encouraged to fundraise the money for their placement. We will provide you with information to assist you in your fundraising efforts and will direct you to a variety of funding resources. If you have any questions regarding fundraising, just give us a call or email and we will be happy to assist you.
