Baby Mishra – Social Worker and Counsellor at the Child Helpline
I am a married lady and have one child. After completing a BA degree in education from Tribhuwan University I started teaching at a government school and that’s how my career working with children started.
After 12 years of teaching at different schools I started thinking about a possibility of helping differently able children who are not going to school, the children who are traumatised because of various reasons. Motivation is number one thing needed to change someone’s life and I always apply this theory to my work. So to improve my motivational and counselling skills I joined National Social Psychology School in Kathmandu and started working with differently able children. And now I am very happy to be on Our Sansar’s team because I can use both, my passion and experience here, and I am very happy to see the improvement in the children because of our work.
In my spare time I like handy craft works.
