MATRIKA KHATIWADA – Social Worker, End to Child Labour Project
I am from Jhapa, a city in the eastern part of Nepal. I graduated from Kathmandu with a Bachelor’s Degree in social work and rural development. My passion lies in empowering communities and fostering positive change through innovative solutions, particularly in rural development.
I took my first step into the field of social work and rural development after completing my bachelor’s degree. Since then, I’ve immersed myself in rural development, working at a school dedicated to community development and with the “Fun Play Learn” initiative. Rather than simply teaching, my aim is to spark a desire in children to learn. I’ve found great joy in working with children from diverse backgrounds, and I thrive on the collaboration and energy that comes from working with an amazing team.
Currently, I work with Our Sansar, where I continue my mission of bringing innovative ideas to rural communities. Additionally, I love coming up with new ideas, always seeking fresh solutions to uplift rural areas and inspire positive change.
