SABITA KUMARI RAM – Teacher at the End to Child Labour Project

I am Sabita Kumari Ram working as a teacher at Our Sansar. My home town is Rautahat where Our Sansar’s End to Child Labor project is running. As soon as I completed my studies, I started working as a teacher at a local charity, RDC, for about one and half years. Being a teacher I always try to provide the best education to children so that they learn and develop academically and support each other in the classroom and outside. Thus my focus is on fostering resilience, self-confidence, and a sense of belonging among the children. For me education is not just about imparting knowledge but also about empowering students to overcome obstacles and realize their full potential.

At Our Sansar, I give classes to children who have been working as child labourers in brick factories. Apart from teaching, I do assess my students in their educational level and skills that they have developed, and continuously look into improving mine. I like to read books and spend time watching movies in my free time.
