Sonelal Ram – Outreach Worker, End to Child Labour Project

I work as an Outreach Worker in a project aimed at eliminating child labour in brick factories in Rautahat. My work involves monitoring brick factories to ensure that child labour laws are being followed, and providing support to families affected by child labour.

I am also actively involved in helping marginalized communities in Rautahat, especially those who face discrimination based on their caste. I work with local government bodies and community leaders to create awareness about caste discrimination and promote inclusivity in the community.

My passion for social work started early in life when I experienced and witnessed the harsh realities faced by marginalized communities in my hometown. I knew then that I wanted to make a difference, and that’s what led me to pursue a career in social work.

As an Outreach Worker, I feel proud to be a part of this project aimed at eliminating child labour. It’s heartening to see the impact our efforts have made in the lives of children and families affected by child labour. And working towards creating a more inclusive society for marginalized communities in Rautahat is a cause close to my heart.
