Chandrika has enjoyed diverse careers that include corporate banking and teaching in India, Indonesia, Turkey and Czech Republic. She completed PhD in drama studying British Asian Theatre at the University of Exeter. She also has M.A. in applied drama and has been involved in drama-related projects in both India and UK. She is fascinated about relationship between theatre and life and passionate about learning through creativity. As a principal of an NGO school for under-privileged children in Kolkata, Chandrika dealt with a number of issues ranging from management and administration to curriculum preparation and staff training.
She regards her greatest achievement as holding a tiger cub and seeing the orang-utans in Kalimantan. Some of her other interests include people-watching, South Asian arts, Indian cinema, Radio-4 and watching Coronation Street.
