Kushalta Adhikari – Education Officer at the Children’s Protection Centre

I’m from Kavrepalachok district which is very different from the terai region where our projects are located. I always used to hear about the status of education and child issues in terai from my professors and friends. Due to this I was eager to work in the terai region to learn more about it. I have completed my Bachelor in Public Health from Kathmandu and during my holidays I used to go to my village and spend most of the time in a school where my uncle used to teach. The scenario was totally different from the school of Kathmandu and I enjoyed assisting with classes there.

During COVID-19,I got a chance to teach health education in different schools which made me realize that I love working with children and that I’m a better person for it.

I am very pleased to work with the Our Sansar team because it has helped me a lot to grow along with the children and be able to work with children with different issues and learning capacities.

I’m very interested in reading books and writing. I also like to paint, sketch and spend time with the children. I think working as an education officer with Our Sansar has helped me to grow professionally and I think my efforts towards children will also help them to learn new things and motivate them to study and to learn different life skills.
